PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a readout error by installing a recording- playback and an erasing head as magnetic heads at an interval where the the influence of leakage flux by the erasing head is not exerted. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head consists of a recording-playback head 1 and an erasing head 2, which has the 1st and 2nd erasure magnetic paths on both the sides of the magnetic path of the recording-playback head 1; and the heads 1 and 2 have an interval (d) where the influence of leakage flux by the erasure head 2 is not exerted. Then, this interval (d) is preferably 20-25 times the width gE of the erasure gap of the erasing head 2. Consequently, even if the off-track where the recording-playback head 1 relatively shifts for recording track position occurs, the influence of the leakage flux is not exerted and the output waveform of the recording-playback head 1 is prevented from causing distortion. |
