PURPOSE:To provide an ink donor film capable of preventing interruption of records by providing an electrically, optically, or magnetically mark for terminating end detection on the surface nearby the terminating end, playing the role of informing an operator of exchange timing. CONSTITUTION:An end mark 14A formed by removing an ink layer is provided at the right end of position advanced, say, by 300mm.toward the front side of a film from a border line 13 between an unrecordable area 11 and a recordable area 12 wound into a roll. With the end mark detected through the working of a photoelectric transducer placed to put between this film, the portion near the terminating end is optically informed. Also, there is an ink donor film where the portion near the terminating end is electrically informed by a method wherein two electrides 21 and 22 for detection are adjoined each other on an end mark 14B which is an aluminum film evaporated on near the terminating end, and with a current detection means 23 and a power source 24 connected in series, the end mark is detected by the change of electric current or magnetically informed. |
