PURPOSE:To increase a copying a speed in a double scale factor or other variable scale factor mode, by controlling a rotary speed of a drum and a scanning speed of a scanning means in accordance with an input data for designating and selecting a variable scale factor. CONSTITUTION:In case the pre-processing has ended and the copy operation has started, a rotary speed of a drum 1, and a scanning speed of scanning means such as an exposure lamp 23, mirror systems 24, 25, a lens 30, etc. are controlled in accordance with a variable scale factor which is designated and selected by a manual input means, and when an equal scale factor data is received, a sequence computer decides it, rotates the drum 1 at a high speed, and in the event of a variable scale factor of reduction and expansion, the drum 1 is delayed by 30msec. and is rotated at a low speed, and subsequently, a lens 30 is set to a desired position. In case of a variable scale factor, the drum 1 is made to execute another rotation in order to perform running-in for switching to a low speed from a high speed, and to stabilize the potential. |
