PURPOSE:To increase the energy enclosing effect of an AT-cut thickness slip quartz oscillator and to reduce the equivalent resistance, by combining the shape of planoconvex type and the deformed shape plano-bevel type. CONSTITUTION:The center of one major plane of a rectangular quartz plane 100 is polished to a curved plane 1 having the curvature of R toward the X aixs. The both ends of one major plane are polished to curved planes 2, 3 with smaller curvature R' than the curvature R at the center, toward the X axis, and another major plane is flat. The energy enclosing effect can be increased further, by forming the AT- cut thickness slip quartz oscillator like this through the combination of processings at the center and both ends. As a esult, the equivalent resistance of the oscillator can be reduced. |
