PURPOSE:To improve efficiency by feeding back energy stored in a reactor and a snubber circuit of the power converter using a GTO (gate turn-off) thyristor to the DC power supply side by means of the same current transformer. CONSTITUTION:The energy of the snubber circuit at the time when the GTO thyristors 4a, 4b are at on is fed back to the DC power supply 1 side by means of the current transformer 16 for feedback while energy stored in the anode reactor 6 and the balancer reactor 15 at the time when the GTO thyristors 4a, 4b are at off is fed back to the DC power supply 1 side. Accordingly, wasteful energy is not consumed by resistors, and efficiency can be improved. |
