PURPOSE:To separate sera quickly without giving any influence upon the inspection and measurement results of the sera by adding powders of Si, SiO2, SiC as blood clotting accelerators for separation of sera and using these by adding further protamine or its salt to these for blood contg. heparin. CONSTITUTION:Fine powder of Si, quartz (SiO2) or SiC which is thoroughly refined by rinsing by the use of detergents and further washing with refined water is put into a blood sampling tube for serum separation, and blood is added to this. After intimate mixing, the mixture is left standing for about 5min, thence it is subjected to centrifugal separation or the like, whereby serum is obtained as supernatant quickly. The resultant serum is used for various inspections without giving any adverse influence upon the results thereof. For the serum separation of human blood dosed with heparin for the prevention of clotting of blood, protamine or its salt such as sulfate is added to said clotting accelerator at an amt. of not exceeding the effective neutralizing amt. of heparin according to the amt. of the heparin in the blood, by which the serum is obtd. quickly. In this way, it lends itself quickly to emergency operations, etc. |
