<p>PURPOSE:To treat solid waste, and to recover combustible, decomposed gas and fuel oil, by a method wherein a furnace is composed of an oxidizing chamber consisting of a terraced and slanted furnace-bed and an air nozzle provided in parallel with the surface of a furnace-bed, and a decomposition chamber, provided right above the oxidizing chamber. CONSTITUTION:The waste B, thrown into a decomposition chamber II from a waste inlet IV, is contacted with the hot gas, containing carbon dioxide gas, coming up from an oxidizing chamberI, pyrolyzed, and recovered as products of dry distillation, hydrogen, and the combustible gas D containing crabon monoxide. On the other hand, undecomposed waste B' is slid down over the bed 1 of a slanted furnace of an oxidizing chamberI, contacted with the air A for combustion from an air nozzle 5, and decomposed by oxidation. The incombustible substance E in a waste B is fallen down into a water-sealed ash separator III of. With such an arrangement, solid waste containing high molecular substance can be treated, and combustible, decomposed gas and fuel oil can be recovered, without special pretreatment such as separation or pulverization.</p> |
