<p>A fermented, predigested milk prod. is produced by the following process. The milk used is in mineral equilibrium and free from thermoresistant and pathogenic germs, the acidity of which does not exceed 15 deg. Dornic. It comes from rural cows, fed with natural feedstuffs. The milk is heated at a temp. below 85 deg.C and then cooled to 37 deg.C, and seeded with a fresh culture of a mesophilic ferment, comprising 0.25 lactic streptococci and 0.75 acidophilic bacilli. After 10 hrs. fermentation at 37 deg.C the concn. of living germs is not below 450 million per gram. The acidity of the final prod. is not above 90 deg. Dornic. Used in dietetics, esp. for treatment of patients who have received antibiotic therapy, in order to reestablish intestinal flora.</p> |
