PURPOSE:To protect a workpiece from damage, by stopping electricity supply for wire-cutting spark erosion and stopping the movement of a table when the preliminary tremor of an earthquake is detected during the wire-cutting spark erosion. CONSTITUTION:A pulse voltage is applied from a machining power source 1 to a wire electrode 3 and a workpiece 4 to perform wire-cutting spark erosion to a desired from by the movement of a table 5. when a preliminary tremor sensor 11 has detected the preliminary tremor of an earthquake and sent out a detection signal 12, the electricity supply from the machining power source 1 is stopped by the signal and a wire moving motor 7 and table drivers 9, 10 are stopped through a controller 8 to halt the movement of the wire 3 and the table 5 to prevent workpiece 4 from being damaged by the large jolt based on the S-waves (second waves) of the earthquake. |
