PURPOSE:To inhibit the stain of a recording sheet when the sheet is inserted, by forming a projection on an ink jet head at its recording sheet-feed side exposed to the recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet head 8 is provided with a projection 10 at the recording sheet-feed side of its surface 9 opposed to a recording sheet. Due to the projection 10, the recording sheet 2 comes in contact with the projection 10, while its contact with a nozzle surface 9 can be avoided. The top end of the recording sheet might come in contact with the nozsle surface 9, just after the top end passes through an outlet 11, however, in this case, the side surface of the top end only will be stained by the contact, but such a stain does not cause any practical problem. |
