PURPOSE:To obtain a nozzle without being clogged by ink and which can be easily cleaned, by constructing the nozzle of a plane-scanning ink jet recorder with a couple of member which are opposed together with an interval in between and provided with a plurality of porjections at their front ends. CONSTITUTION:The front ends of an upper thin sheet 12 and a lower thin sheet 13 are formed into single-edged blades 15 and 16, respectively. Each edge is provided with a plurality of thread-shaped projections 17. These thin sheets 12, 13 are laminated through a space 11 by interposing a shim 10, to form a nozzle 14, and bolted to the main body 6 of a head 5. In case of typeprinting, a bias voltage and a picture signal voltage are charged between the thin sheets 12, 13 and a back electrode 34 at the periphery of a drum 33, so that ink particles will fly from the projections 17 opposed to the electrode 34. The nozzle 14 is hardly clogged by ink, because the nozzle 14 is not partitioned by each picture element. When recording is not being perfomed, the head main body 6 is rotated in a manner such that the front end of the nozzle 14 is faced to dampening felt 25, and the nozzle 14 is prevented from drying. |
