PURPOSE:To obtain a spectacle lens having high refractivity, high resistance to scratching, and low surface reflectivity, by using specified 2 kinds of monomers. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin consists of a copolymer made by polymerizing 9-80pts.wt. styrene, halognnated styrene or a mixture of them; 20-80pts.wt. monomer represented by the general formula (I) in which R is (h) or alky, X is halogen except fluorine, and (n) is 0-4; and 1-80pts.wt. monomer represented by the formula II; and further, 0.01-2.0pts.wt. ultraviolet absorber, and on this resin, a hard coat layer made of an inorganic dielectric is formed, and moreover, a reflection- preventing layer made of a single layer or multilayer dielectric material, or a reflection-preventing layer consisting of a metallic layer and an inorganic dielectric layer is provided to prepare the desired synthetic resin lenses. Since the lens has 1.58-1.61 reflectivity, 1.54-1.65 reflectivity is preferred for that of the hard coat layer. |
