The objective (12) is set with a horizontal axis in a support frame (1). This is spaced from a wall (16) separating the subject room from the darkroom containing the film holder (6). The subject is placed on a flat table (5) with vertical adjustment under the objective and an angled mirror (13) in front of the objective. The objective holder is linked to the wall by a flexible bellows (3,4) which allows the subject holder to move close to the objective. The bellows is made from two side flanges with one bottom panel, all of flexible, light proof material. The film holder slides towards the objective on a horizontal guide (2) so that with the full range of adjustment of the subject table and the film holder, a wide range of magnifications is possible.
