The additional luggage carrier for the rear of a bus has four ball fittings (13) secured to the bus in a rectangular layout, with two upper- and two lower fittings. The load carrier (6) is fitted with two angle section frames (30) which run over the ball fittings and which clamp to the fittings with sprung socket joints (23). The luggage container is bolted to the rear of the bus without any special tools. It increases the load space of the bus without increasing the drag. The size of the container is inside the outside of the bus and does not impede the rear view.
