PURPOSE:To perform smooth transition from the elevating operation of a tone arm to the application of stylus force by nearly equalizing the levels of the 1st and 2nd reference voltages for the speed control and stylus-force application of the tone arm. CONSTITUTION:As a tone arm 2 comes to a play start position, a control signal is generated and applied to a switch means 6. Then, the switch means 6 turns on to supply an adder 4 with a reference voltage corresponding to stylus force to be applied. Consequently, a driving means 1 responds to the difference output of the adder 4 to control the turning speed of the arm 2 so that the reference voltage is a stylus tip comes into contact with a record disk, the turning speed is reduced and the output of the driving means 1 increases so that turning force applied to the arm increases. Then, when the turning is stopped completely, the stylus force is applied corresponding to the reference voltage. This constitution achieves smooth transition from the elevating operation to the application of stylus force of the tone arm. |
