PURPOSE:To check the fault and package error of an ROM with easy repair, by discriminating whether prescribed arithmetic results of rspective stored data reach a constant value, by using arithmetic result adjustment words tored in each ROM. CONSTITUTION:In each ROM, adjustment words are determined so that data arithmetic preocessing results have a constant value for a very object to be inspected and stored in prescribed addresses. In a program counter PRC, the 1st address of an ROM constituting a control program 1 is set. Its readout data is set in a register #1 temporarily. Then, an arithmetic unit ART adds the contents of registers #1 and #2 and, while setting the result in the register #2, goes up by one, and its contents are compared with the total number (m) of bytes. Then, the 2nd address ir read and set in the register #1, whose contents areprocessed similarly to compare the one-increased value of the register #4 after arithmetic with the (m). Further, the grand total of all bytes of the ROMs is calculated and the total of odd-numbered bytes is also calculated; when it reaches (m), a coincidence with a constant numberal is checked, thus advancing inspection. |
