PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the steeling of a car which is susceptible to occur while a driver is away from his car, by a method wherein, even if an ignition key is pulled off, an engine is kept in an operation state. CONSTITUTION:If a key 2 is inserted into a lock 3 and is turned to a ST position, a stater for an engine activates, an the key 2 turns to a IG position. With this, if the key 2 is pressed in an insertion direction, a first rotor 8 and a second rotor 11 move leftward through a drive piece 6 against the force of a spring 18. As a result, a projection 11f of the secondary rotor 11 presses a plate spring 21, and a terminal 22 of the plate spring 21 makes contact with a terminal 24 of a contact located at an insulator 20. Thus, a coil 15 is energized, a moving piece 13 is sucked, and a projection piece 13a engages a notch 11c. When, with under said state, the key 2 is rotated to a OFF position, the first rotor 8 turns like the rotation of the key, but the second rotor 11 stays at the IG position. Then, if the key is pulled off, conventional handle locks 4 and 5 works. |
