PURPOSE:To mass-produce information recording media made of synthetic resin by one original disk, by forming a photoresist film, having unevenness information, on a base plate by light irradiation, by forming an inorganic thin film on the said film, and by forming a synthetic resin layer on the thin film and then peeling the synthetic resin layer. CONSTITUTION:On a smooth float glass plate 6, photoresist 7 having even thicknes is formed and after development by irradiation without focused laser light, it is set by being heated to set a photoresist film 7' completely. Then, a thin film 8 of SiO2, SiO, or Ni havng parallel unevenness is vapor-deposited on the tilm 7' to manufacture an original disk. Then, lower alkyl ester, diglycidyl oligoester, etc. of methacrylic acid, etc., is flowed over the film 8 and polymerized by heat or light to form a synthetic resin layer 9. The layer 9 is peeled off from the film 8 to obtain an optical disk. The film 8 is peeled off easily and replica optical disks are mass-produced without damaging the unevenness of the original disk. The synthetic resin layer 9 has no crystallized part unlike a pressing method, so the disks free from defects such as birefringence are obtained. |
