PURPOSE:To detect the leakage of even superpure water, by a method wherein an energizing agent-impregnated tape, which is excellent in a water-retaining power and in which an energizing agent is impregnated and dried, is used. CONSTITUTION:Two conductor electrode tapes 3, having an insulating gap between them, are adhered or vacuum-evaporated in parallel to a plastic tape 4. An energizing agent-impregnated tape 2, being of a cloth or paper impregnated for drying with a material which is solved in water and easy to be energized and has no deliquescence, is adhered firmly to cover the two electrode tapes. The lamination is covered with a strong protecting tape 1 wherein appropriate-sized holes are formed. The detecting terminal tape is secured to a floor tape, and one end thereof is connected in series through a detecting power source and a buzzer or a relay. When leaking water occurs, the water reaches the energizing agent-impregnated tape 2 through the protection tape of the detecting terminal tape to solve the energizing agent and to short the two electrodes. |
