<p>The low-turbulence heat accumulator is for a liquid medium in conjunction with a solar heater or heat pump etc. The incoming medium at high speed is first directed into a chamber, from which it is evenly distributed with the minimum of turbulence into the storage chamber itself via outlet ports, any turbulence in the storage chamber dissipating the kinetic energy. Any small residual turbulence at the outlet is concentrated in the minimum area by appropriate shaping of the outlet ports.</p> |
