Recording device in which the coordinates of a part of an image, which is to be removed or to be deleted, are entered, a scanning position is traced and an image signal switching unit is switched for blocking or releasing the flow of the image signals when the introduced coordinates correspond to the traced position. Removal means for removing a part of an original image or a deletion device for deleting a part of an original image, an identification device for identifying a part which is to be removed or to be deleted, and a number device for introducing the coordinates of the part to be removed or to be deleted are provided.
