<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a controller for an electric braking system which is operated as driving means with a low cost without occupying an excess space by utilizing a retarder by a squirrelcage polyphase induction machine. CONSTITUTION:The rotor of a squirrel-cage polyphase induction machine I is connected to an engine En, and inverter means In is inserted to a route for connecting the machine I to a secondary battery E. When a braking force is generated in a rotary subsystem, a control circuit CONT so generates a control signal as to apply a revolving magnetic field of smaller speed than the rotating speed of the rotor of the machine I detected by a rotary sensor SS to the stator of the machine I. When the driving force is, on the other hand, applied to the rotary subsystem, the control circuit CONT so generates a control signal as to apply a revolving magnetic field of larger speed than the rotating speed of the rotor of the machine I to the stator of the machine I.</p> |
