The invention relates to a device for testing the servo steering of motor vehicles, in particular for diagnostic tests in the motor vehicle, which contains a pressure transducer unit connectable to the high pressure piping of the hydraulic system of the servo steering and an incremental, direction-sensitive angle signal transmitter with an electric output signal and a fixed part secured on the driver's cabin, the said transmitter being situated with the steering spindle in a linkage transmitting the movement. To simplify and speed up the test, the pressure transducer device (8) is connected to the signal conditioning unit (9), the output of which is, on the one hand, connected directly to the first input (13b) of the pressure-signal differential amplifier (13) via the low pass filter (10) and, on the other hand, to the second input (13a) of the abovementioned pressure-signal differential amplifier (13) via a sample-and-hold circuit (12) operated by means of a zero balance switch (16). The output (13c) of the pressure-signal differential amplifier is connected via a switch (26) to the first input (14a) of a comparator and pulse transmitter (14), to the second input (14b) of which a comparison level adjuster (17a) is connected via a measurement range selection switch (17). The first output (14c) of the comparator and pulse transmitter (14) is connected to the first input (15a) of an OR circuit (15), while the second output (14d) is connected to the second input (27b) of a zero balance circuit (27) connected to the zero balance switch (16) and operable by means of the latter via its first input (27a). Connected to the second input (15b) of the OR circuit (15) is a logical level switch (19) which instructs the unit (18) for continuous indication, the said unit being connected to the output (15c) of the OR circuit (15) and storing the angular rotation of the steering spindle. Connected to the data input (10a) of the unit (18) storing the angular rotation of the steering spindle is the output (22b) of an up and down counter (22), connected to the input (22c) of which is the output (21a) of an incremental, direction-sensitive angle signal transmitter with electric output signal (21). Connected to the control input (22a) is the output (27c) of the abovementioned zero balance circuit (27). The output (18b) of the unit (18) storing the angular rotation of the steering spindle is connected to the display (20) for the angular rotation of the steering spindle. Connected to the output of the low pass filter (10) via an analog-digital converter (6) there is furthermore a pressure display (7) with digital read-out. <IMAGE>
