PURPOSE:To simplify the operations to attach a sheet, by a method wherein, in so-called Z propeller installation in which a power transmission system is placed in a Z pattern, a sheet for a Z propeller is previously welded to an upper end of a cylinder to form a sheet block, and after a propeller installation surface of a sheet is processed, the sheet is attached to a ship body. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 3 is previously welded to an upper end of a cylinder 5 to form a sheet block A, and a Z propeller installation surface 3a of the sheet block A is processed at a work on the land. The sheet block A so finishing-processed mates a pit 2 in a ship body 1 to be welded thereat. This permits the Z propeller to be installed directly to the installation surface 3a of the sheet 3. The sheet 3 and the cylinder 5 are united unitarily to form the rigid sheet block A, which results in preventing the production of weld strain on the Z propeller instation surface of the sheet 3. |
