PURPOSE:To improve a yield rate f products by obtaining a static image of the part of the defective shape of the leading edge or the trailing edge of the running steel plate, displaying in together with the optimum position obtained by data processing, and automatically controlling a cutting machine. CONSTITUTION:The static image of the part of the defective shape of the leading edge and the trailing edge of the running steel plate is obtained. Said image signal is processed and automatic shape recognition is performed. A cutting machine is controlled by the obtained signal and the signal of position of the steel plate. In this case, the shape of the defective part and the cutting position are displayed on a display. For example, the position of the steel plate 20 which is sent on roller 21 is sensed by a sensor 23 and a roller rotation sensor 22. The shape of the leading part is photographed by a camera 24. The static image is obtained by an image memory device 28 an image processor 29, and the optimum cutting position is determined. A shear control devie 31 is driven, and the shape of the defective part and the cutting position are displayed on the display 30 at the same time. |
