In a vehicle for transporting and relocating prefabricated garages (24) having a jib (9) which is supported directly behind the driver's cab (3), at the end of the said jib (9) at a distance from the driver's cab (3) a receiving device (23) is arranged. The receiving device (23) supports the prefabricated garage (24) on the inside of its roof. In order, for example during lateral setting down and picking up of the prefabricated garage (24), to reduce the bending moments at the jib (9) and the tilting moments at the vehicle, the front support (14) of the jib (9) is constructed as a pivot bearing (16) and the rear support is constructed as a lifting device (17) for raising and lowering the jib (9). The receiving device (23) which is attached to one end of the jib (9) consists of a live ring with a vertical axle and a frame which receives the lower part of the said live ring and has a cardanic mounting on two approximately horizontal axles which are at right angles to one another. <IMAGE>
