PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the electrostatic charge characteristics of a sensitive body even after repeated use by forming an intermediate layer contg. a specified copolymer between the substrate and photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive layer 3' consisting of an electric charge transferring layer 5 and an electric charge generating layer 4 is formed on an electrically conductive substrate 1 with an intermediate layer 2 in-between. The layer 2 is made of a random or block copolymer having oxyethylene and oxypropylene groups as constituent units and hydroxyl groups at the terminals of the molecule, e.g., HO-(C2H4O)80-(C3H6O)30-(C2H4O)80-H. The layer 2 may further contain other resin such as polyamide and electrically conductive powder and/or a white pigment may be incorporated into the layer 2. A single layer type photosensitive layer may be formed in place of the layer 3'. |
