PURPOSE:To protect a galvanized surface from corrosion for a long period of time by forming a primer paint film on the galvanized surface by using a paint composed of an epoxy resin, polyvinyl butyral resin, one or more of oxyacid salts and metal oxides, zinc powder or calcium plumbate, and a flaky pigment. CONSTITUTION:A paint composition is prepared by mixing 100pts.wt. resin composition consisting of 60-99wt% epoxy resin with two or more epoxy groups on its terminal and 1-40wt% polyvinyl butyral resin, 10-200pts.wt. metallic zinc powder or calcium plumbate, 1-150pts.wt. one or more selected from oxyacid salts and metal oxides, and 10-200pts.wt. flaky pigment. And, paint composition is coated on a galvanized surface and dried to form a primer paint film. |
