PURPOSE:To cause a granular dielectric to form an electrostatic image by giving rise to polarization through applying an electric field and a light beam to a light sensitive layer mixed the granular dielectric with a light sensitive element. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a light sensitive drum 3, a light sensitive layer 2 mixed granular dielectric 10 and a light sensitive element 11 bound by a binder 9 is formed. First, in the dark, an electric field of positive charge is applied to the light sensitive layer 2 by the 1st corona discharge device 4 to cause the dielectric 10 and the light sensitive element 11 to form polarization in the same polarity. Next, while giving a negative electric field from the 2nd corona discharge device 5, within the range where the light reaches, off, weak and strong irradiation is performed, and according to a shared electric field corresponding to changes in the sensitive element 11 at the time point, the electric field shared by the dielectric 10 is decided and fixed, at same time. In the 3rd process, the total exposure from the lamp 6 is carried out to dissolve the electric field processed by the light sensitive element 11 in the previous process. |
