<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the configuration of the entitled apparatus, enable rapid optical printing with high resoltion and high quality and intend miniaturization and low cost by using rapid optical signal generating part equipped with a liquid crystal light valve. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal light valve 2 is constituted by opposing a glass base plate 12 equipped with a common electrode 17 and a glass base plate 11 equipped with a signal electrode 16, enclosing liquid crystal component 14 between both the glass base plates and attaching 2 polarizing plates 15 to the outside of these plates. The liquid crystal component 14 is obtained by adding an optically active material to a nematic liquid crystal whose dielectric anisotropy is 0 and crossing frequency is 100kHz and less at room temperature. When a signal with higher frequency than the crossing frequency and a signal with lower frequency are applied between the common electrode 17 and the signal electrode 16, light from a light source 1 is transmitted or inhibited and the light passage to a photosensitive part 3 is opend/closed, enabling to print out data.</p> |
