PURPOSE:To protect the rectifier positively even when an instantaneous gate block condition is generated by mounting a switch for protection in parallel with load and damping currents through said switch. CONSTITUTION:When the operation is normal, ignition pulses are outputted from a phase control circuit 9, and the rectifier instrument 4 is operated. When output is emitted from a control power source abnormality detecting circuit 7, bypass pair signals are outputted to the phase control circuit 9 through a protective interlocking circuit 8 while making instructions are outputted to a making applicance 6 for protection through an OR circuit 10. Accodingly, even when the instantaneous gate block condition is generated, currents are rapidly damped through the switching appliance 6 for protection, and the rectifier instrument 4 is protected. |
