PURPOSE:To select only the desired one of a number of trigger patterns, by providing an enable pattern detecting circuit and an inhibit pattern detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:An enable pattern detecting circiuit 16 and an inhibit pattern detecting circuit 17 are provided in parallel to a trigger pattern detecting circuit that detects the position of a fault in a program, a logical circuit, etc. and connected together via an AND18 a flip-flop 19. Thus a counter 13 is actuated when the trigger pulse is detected with an enable pattern and a trigger pattern in that oerder. The enable pattern, inhibit pattern and trigger pattern are detected in that order. In such case, the counter 13 is not actuated. As a result, only the desired one can be selected from a signal line series from which a number of trigger patterns are produced. Thus the position of a fault is detected with high accuracy. |
