<p>PURPOSE:Plant tissues or cells are cultured in a medium containing an extract from microscopic alga to promote the multiplication and differntiation of the plant tissues or cells. CONSTITUTION:Microscopic algae such as Chlorella, Scenedesumus or Spirulina are brought into contact with water only or a solution containing an acid, base or organic solvent to give an extract. Then, the extract is fractionated and the high-polymer fraction or its concentrate or a powder produced by freeze-drying or spray-drying of the fraction or concentration is added to the basic medium for plant tissue or cell culture by 1-500mg/l on the dry base.</p> |
