A wall plug of the type comprising a frustoconical nut 1 which is arranged within a slotted sleeve 6 and which is urged by a bolt to move axially of the sleeve 6 and thereby to urge sectors 7, 8 of the sleeve 6 radially outwards is provided with co-operating members on the nut 1 and sleeve 6 to prevent the latter becoming detached. As shown in Fig. 1, the nut 1 is provided with radial projections 4 which extend into slots 9 between the sectors 7, 8, the projections 4 being limited in movement relative to the sleeve 6 by edge portions adjacent to narrow slot portions 10. In an alternative embodiment (Fig. 6) the projections 14 of the nut extend into slots 12 provided in the sectors. The wall plug may be of plastics material and the nut may be provided with a hinged lid (18 or 22) (Figs. 10, 11, not shown) for covering one end of the threaded bore of the nut. |
