PURPOSE:To prevent double recording to a recorded part, by quickly forwarding an optical system or stopping it by an output of an information signal detector connected to a photodetector. CONSTITUTION:When a recording ready switch is turned on, a shifter 9 moves an optical system 7 at a high speed in the opposite direction of an arrow A up to a recording start point of a disk 5. The optical system 7 moves to the start point of recording, and in case when an information signal detector 11 still detects an information signal, the shifter 9 moves the optical system at a high speed in the direction as indicated with the arrow A until it comes not to detect the signal. When the information signal detector 11 comes not to detect the information signal, the shifter 9 stops its operation, and the device becomes a recording available state. |
