PURPOSE:To execute the tracking control by constituting a device so that a discoid recording carrier can be moved in the diameter direction. CONSTITUTION:A disk motor 13 is supported by each one end of joints 14, 15 so that its shaft is turned upward in the vertical direction, and a disk 7 is mounted. The joints 14, 15 are opposed in a straight line centering around the disk motor 13, and the other ends of them are coupled with linear motors 16, 17 being a diameter direction driving means, respectively. In this way, a signal read-out part 18 is not moved in the tracking direction, and the recording carrier is moved in the tracking direction, synchronizing with a rotation of the optical disk itself, by moving the disk motor 13 by the linear motors 16, 17 in the tracking direction. |
