PURPOSE:To automatically assemble a magnetic head with high accuracy, by optically detecting a position of a magnetic core to be installed to a hole provided on a metallic thin plate like, in at least 4 places, correcting the position of the magnetic core, and making it adhere tightly. CONSTITUTION:A spring-like thin metallic plate (gimbals) 1 has mounting holes 1a, 1b in the peripheral part, and has holes 1c, 1d for inserting a magnetic core 3, in the center. A table 2 which has placed a magnetic core 3 on its upper surface part is movable to the right and left (X and Y directions) and rotatable, and is driven by a pulse motor. Fields of view 8, 9 are irradiated by a light source 6, and reflected rays are synthesized by a TV camera 5 through a prism 11 and a mirror 10. Fields of view 12, 13 are also synthesized by a TV camera 4 in the same way. Outputs of both the cameras 4, 5 are inputted to a digital computer 15 through a video information converter 14, displacement of the gimbals 1 and the magnetic core 3 is detected by the X and Y directions and the angle of rotation, and the position is corrected by driving the pulse motor 16. In this way, a magnetic head is assembled automatically and precisely. |
