PURPOSE:To control a linear tracking operation device of a magnetic head at a low cost and with high reliability, by making a DC motor a driving source, and combining a Geneva mechanism and a location by a click stop means. CONSTITUTION:By turning force of a motor output shaft 1, a pinion 4 is rotated intermittently by fitting an eccentric pin 2a into a long hole 3a of a Geneva wheel 3, the rotation is decelerated by pinions 4, 6 and gears 5, 7, and a belt pulley 9 is rotated iontermittenly. The intermittent rotation is click-stopped at every 1 pitch of a gear 8 by the gear 8 and a steel ball 16, and rotation of the pulley 9 is located, by which a steel belt 12 is wound round the outside circumference of the pulley, a head carry 10 is guided by a guide bar 11, and is moved by 1 track portion in the center direction of a disk 15. When the motor is rotated in reverse by reverse turnon, the belt is loosened, the head carry 10 is moved in the outside circumferential direction of the disk 15, and rotation of the motor is stopped by an end signal generated by a detection switch 13. |
