摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized connecting part of an optical fiber cable, by anchoring tensile strength wites in a lump by an adhesin effect by an adhesive agent, and a wedge effect by a conical sleeve. CONSTITUTION:In the structure of a connecting part of optical fiber cables 1, 1' whose circumference has been wound spirally with pressure resistant pipes 14, 14', and inner iron wires 5a, 5a' and outer iron wires 5b, 5b' being tensile strength wires, a core wire connecting part which has connected optical fiber core wires 2, 2', and a connecting residual length part of the core wires 2, 2' are stored in a pressure resistant cylinder 4. To end plates 4a, 4a', the first conical sleeves 16, 16' which have made the pressure resistant pipes 14, 14' pass through the center are screwed, the inner iron wires 5a, 5a' of each cable 1, 1' are arrayed on their tapered surface, and also are stuck by use of an adhesive agent 17. To its outside, the second conical sleeves 18, 18' and the outer iron wires 5b, 5b' are stuck by means of the same structure, and clamping metallic fittings 19, 19' like a conical ring are fitted into its outermost part.
