PURPOSE:To detect linear moving location with high accuracy, by relatively displacing the light source and light receiving element group against the light encoder composed of a group of small lenses. When the relative linear displacement is made, the elements 31... receive refracted lights which considerably change in accordance with the movement of the light source 1, from each lense 2a... of a lense group, because the encoder 2 is composed of numberous small lense 2a which are periodically arranged. Because the encoder 2 enlarges minute displacements, linear displacing locations are highly accurately detected with a simple constitution with high accuracy. |
