PURPOSE:To utilize solar energy extremely effectively in industry, by stabilizing the photoelectric conversion efficiency over a long period of time using a light weight solar battery module. CONSTITUTION:An overall electric output of a photovoltaic element part 12 is led to the outside by use of a lead wire or a lead plate 15', and an elongaged resin film 19 is contracted with heating, and further it is sticked fast to the rear surface of a substrate, i.e., the photovoltaic element 12 to constitute a protection layer, thereby the so called contraction packaging is performed. The contraction packaging is a light weight and inexpensive casing as compared with a convertional construction. And vinylidene chloride and polypropylene among the resin films do not affect the conversion efficiency of a CdS/CdTe solar battery module on a 10cm square glass substrate, for example, even when said module is subjected to a field test during one month (the decrement is practically zero.). Further, even for a CdS/Cu2S solar module, the decrement of the same conversion efficiency is close to nearly zero. |
