PURPOSE:To accelerate dephosphorization in refining by top and bottom blowings in a converter by charging CaO or a CaO-base slag making material into the converter from the top and blowing a flux contg. iron oxide and CaO as principal components from a bottom tuyere together with a gas. CONSTITUTION:This invention relates to a refining method for molten iron in a converter by blowing an oxidizing gas from a top blowing lance and an oxidizing gas or an inert gas from a bottom tuyere. At this time CaO or a CaO-base slag making material is charged or blown from the top, and a flux contg. iron oxide and CaO as principal components are blown from the bottom tuyere together with the bottom blown gas. The flux contains iron oxide by 5-30% as iron concn. |
