A light shoe or slipper comprises a base fabric to one side of which is attached a light, flexible sole, and to the other side of which is attached the vamp or upper, consisting of an elastic fabric having a reinforced, elasticated edge. This construction is simple and inexpensive, giving cheap and comfortable casual footwear.
