PURPOSE:To provide a substrate for a lithoprinting plate, having high durability against physical forces applied to the substrate during printing operation and capability of preventing rusting, inexpensive and requiring no paper lamination by a method wherein an aluminium sheet is bonded to one side of a steel plate with an adhesive and a protective layer is formed on the other side of same. CONSTITUTION:An aluminium sheet (preferably, of 10-100mu thickness) is bonded to one side of a steel plate 3 (preferably, of 80-170mu thickness) with the layer 2 of an adhesive of polyisobutylene-paraphin-polyethylene group. Further, a protective layer 4 is formed on the other side of the steel plate 3 by applying, preferably, a polymer of a melting point of 120 deg.C or lower (polyethylene is particularly preferably) to the other side of the steel plate 3 in a thickness of 10mu or thicker. |
