The detector for under inflation of aircraft tyres allows for their reflation during flight. It comprises a pressure detector and a regulated gas supply incorporated into a fixed part of the undercarriage and are pneumatically linked to the tyre valve by a rotatable connection. The tyre valve is opened either by compressing a small volume of gas between two electro-magnetic valves up to a pressure sufficient to open the tyre valve or by screwing an adaptor down onto the tyre valve itself.
