The invention relates to moulding powders for producing corrosion-resistant and/or wear-resistant articles, in particular mould tools, of alumina and, if appropriate in addition to the alumina, also one or more powder-metallurgical ceramic materials which contain additives improving the desired physical-mechanical properties and which are powder-metallurgical ceramic materials having a) an alumina content of at least 70 % by weight, b) a total quantity of impurities of at most 0.4 % by weight of the alumina content with alpha ) a silica content and iron oxide content each of at most 0.05 % by weight of the alumina content and beta ) a total of the sodium oxide and potassium oxide contents of at most 0.05 % by weight of the alumina content and c) an average particle size of at most 3 mu . The invention also relates to the mould tools made from these moulding powders. The tools made from these moulding powders are highly corrosion-resistant and/or wear-resistant.
