Prodn. of title articles with gas inclusions that have been formed by chemical reactions of gas-forming media inside the hardened polyester resin is characterised in that the decomposition of the media is carried to a stage by application of elevated temps. before complete hardening of the resin, such that the heat required to lead to gas bubble formation is also sufficient to complete the hardening of the resinous moulding. The gas inclusions have lenticular shape and their diameter is controlled by the amount of gas-releasing material e.g. azoisobutyronitrile. |
