PURPOSE:To increase printing speed by a method wherein a plurality of nozzles are in parallel arranged in the proceeding direction, a letter imprinting and copying region is rectangulary to the proceeding direction of the head and plurallty divided and respectively alloted to a nozzle for printing. CONSTITUTION:In a charge deflection type ink jet printer, which prints while making a head 11 proceed horizontally to recording paper, a plurality of nozzles 14 and 15 are arranged in the proceeding direction of the head 11 while a letter printing region is divided into a plurality of regions PA and PB rectangular to the proceeding direction of the head 11 to allot a printing share for rescpective divided regions PA and PB to the respective nozzles 14 and 15 for printing, whereby the printing signals to be sent to the respective nozzles 14 and 15 are required to be delayed according to the proceeding direction of the head. |
