At least one glass gob is located on the end of a blowpipe. The blowpipe is then rotated so that at least two helical coils of glass thread are wound onto the gob, where the windings have opposite directions and the outer coil passes over the inner coil. The gob is then blown so that random but extremely decorative patterns are formed by the threads in the finished object. After applying the windings of thread, one or more glass gobs may be added. Both the gobs and the threads may possess the same or different colours, and may consist of transparent or opaque glass. The overall result is beautiful decor obtd. at low cost.
|
