Angled intersection for endless belt conveyors - uses interposed endless belt of trapezoidal shape defined by angled return rolls

The connector effects a change in direction between two endless belt conveyors (T1,T2), and has a straight endless belt (1) with a trapezoidal plan shape. The belt is mounted on a substructure together with drive motors, traversing terminal rolls (8) which subtend an angle equal to that formed by the intersection of the two ancillary belts. After traversing an oblique roll (8) the belt may return (2) to traverse a perpendicular return roll (3,20). The triple run (2,12) upper strata of the belt may be duplicated by an identical shaped series of lower closure runs (4,5,4).
